✅ Key Update — RRB NTPC 2025–26 Cycle
The Railway Recruitment Boards released the CEN notification for NTPC Graduate and Under-Graduate posts in 2024–25. CBT-1 exams are underway in 2025–26. The syllabus structure below is based on the official CEN notification and has remained consistent across cycles. Always verify the latest notification at indianrailways.gov.in.

📋 What is RRB NTPC? A Quick Overview

RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) is one of the largest government recruitment drives in India, conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways. It fills thousands of vacancies across the Indian Railways — the world's fourth-largest railway network and one of India's biggest employers.

Posts under NTPC range from Level 2 (Under-Graduate) to Level 6 (Graduate) in the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix — covering roles like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Station Master, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, and more.

The selection process has two stages of Computer-Based Tests (CBT), followed by Typing Skill Test or Computer-Based Aptitude Test (for specific posts), and Document Verification + Medical Examination.

📌 Quick Note — Two Notification Types
RRBs release separate CEN notifications for Graduate Level Posts (Level 4, 5, 6) and Under-Graduate Level Posts (Level 2, 3). The CBT-1 syllabus is identical for both, but CBT-2 difficulty and topics vary. Know your post level before you start preparing.

📝 RRB NTPC 2026 Exam Pattern

RRB NTPC follows a multi-stage selection process. CBT-1 is a screening test — its marks are NOT added to the final merit. CBT-2 determines shortlisting for the final stages. The selection process is:

1
CBT-1
Screening Test (100 Q / 90 min)
2
CBT-2
Merit Test (120 Q / 90 min)
3
CBAT / TST
Skill Test (post-specific)
4

⚠️ Important — CBT-1 Marks Don't Count
CBT-1 is a screening/qualifying test only. Its marks are never added to your final merit score. Only CBT-2 marks (and CBAT for Station Master) are used for the final selection. Focus on clearing CBT-1 first — then push hard for CBT-2.
